Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Spare Tank app (the "App") and the website at sparetank.app (the "Site"), provided by Arcem LLC ("we", "us"). By using the App or Site, you agree to these terms.

1. Using Spare Tank

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. If you get the App from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its support.

2. Your accounts with other services

Spare Tank works with hosts, AI providers and Ollama servers that you choose and control. You are responsible for your accounts with those services and for following their terms, usage limits and acceptable-use policies. Switching between models does not give you more access to any service than your own plan allows. We are not affiliated with, and not responsible for, any third-party AI provider or its output, availability or pricing.

3. Your content

What you write, dictate and receive belongs to you, as between you and us. We don't claim any rights to it. You're responsible for what you send to AI models and for how you use their responses.

4. AI output

AI models can produce answers that are inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate, and different models may answer the same question differently. Review important output yourself, and don't rely on it as professional medical, legal, financial or safety advice.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Spare Tank to break the law, infringe others' rights, attack or overload systems, get around a service's security, or reverse engineer the App except where the law allows it.

6. Changes and availability

We may update, change or stop offering the App or any feature. Features that depend on third-party services may stop working if those services change.

7. Disclaimer

The App and Site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Arcem LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or work, arising from your use of the App or Site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you paid nothing.

9. Termination

You can stop using Spare Tank at any time by deleting the App. We may end your license if you break these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer law gives you rights that can't be waived.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
